Service Description

A sore throat is an irritated, often painful, and scratchy feeling in the throat that usually worsens when swallowing. It is commonly caused by viral infections such as a cold or flu, but can also result from bacteria, allergies, or other irritants. Sore throats are very common and usually improve on their own. They can often be treated at home with: Paracetamol or ibuprofen for pain relief Warm soothing drinks like ginger, honey, and lemon tea Cough sweets or throat lozenges If you or your child has a particularly painful sore throat, you can book a consultation with one of our pharmacists today. Treatment is available for children aged 5 years and over.
